2) The Role: Business Development Manager
We are growing super fast and the opportunities we are managing are exciting and often ground breaking. We now need to add some capacity and capability into our sales and marketing team to help manage this surge of work and to embrace these wide ranging opportunities.
We are passionate about what we do and the good our solutions can deliver and we want to work with more and more organisations in the UK and internationally to help them to unlock the power of digital health and get the best Apps and Digital solutions to their populations and professionals.
We also want to work with more great health App developers, supporting them to make the best Apps they can, and get those Apps distributed direct to Health Care professionals and the people who need them the most!
In order to do this, we need to get more organisations and developers to know we are here, engage with them and provide solutions to support their journey into Digital Health.
Working closely with the CEO, the Marketing Team and the Implementation and Account Management Teams, you will be responsible for supporting, nurturing, growing and completing opportunities across a myriad array of client types and in a wide array of locations.
This is a key role and you will be at the heart of our business development function with direct responsibility for a range of opportunities and target markets as well as being an integral part of the sales team delivering more complex and/or strategic deals.
This is a fast paced and demanding environment with a lot of UK wide and International Travel required. The rewards are however significant, with the opportunity to develop your career in a supportive, fun and incredibly exciting environment.
3) What do you need?
It is important that you have:
You will need some knowledge of and enthusiasm for healthcare in general and the world of Digital Health in particular. You don’t need to be an expert in Digital Health now. We will provide a lot of training and support to ensure you have all the knowledge and insights you will need, but a genuine interest in the area is essential.
Another crucial attribute you will need for this role is great communications skills, energy and tenacity. You really need to be a people person and love to meet new people and take on new challenges.
Of course, it goes without saying that in this kind of role and environment, you will also need bags of energy, tenacity and flexibility and a great sense of humour.
We are however a friendly bunch and very much try to foster a fun and supportive environment. It is though fast paced and we are constantly in a change cycle as we iterate and reiterate what we do to support new clients, new jurisdictions and to take account of the constantly changing and developing environment we are working in, so if change isn’t your thing, it’s probably not the place for you.
On a more practical front, this role while notionally based in our amazing offices in Daresbury, Cheshire will require a lot of travel to support projects across the UK and internationally. We will wherever possible work to ensure that members of the team are covering sensible geographic areas relating to their home location, but it’s important that you can easily manage the travel commitments and can work flexibly enough to support the different challenges and priorities.
