ORCHA Health - Finance Manager

2)   The Role: Finance Manager 

 

We are growing super fast and the opportunities we are managing are exciting and often ground breaking. We now need to add some capacity and capability into our Finance and Commercial team to support this expansion.

 

Working closely with the COO and FD, as well as the wider team you will be responsible for:

 

  • The production of monthly management accounts, with responsibility for accruals, prepayments and ad hoc journals.
  • Manage the production of the monthly management accounts reporting pack (within five working days of month end), completing the cost and revenue analysis along with commentary on the financial performance of the business, and key variances analysed.
  • Provide monthly financial results to the Executive Team and support them in producing board pack submissions.
  • Management of intercompany postings and balances.
  • Responsible for all aspects of the Balance Sheet, including Accrual/Prepayments, reconciliations, reporting and analysis.
  • Managing cashflow, and production of cashflow forecasts for review by the Executive Team.
  • Assisting with tax processes.
  • Support the year-end audit process and preparation of statutory accounts.
  • Support the Executive Team in analysis of performance and profitability.
  • Support the development of business intelligence tools to support management in responding to the business changing needs.
  • Annual budgeting process.
  • Formulating strategic and long-term business plans
  • Researching and reporting on factors influencing business performance
  • Analysing competitors and market trends

 

As this is a small, but growing, SME the role holder will also currently be required to:

 

  • Perform all aspects of accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Daily Bank reconciliation
  • Undertake the processing payroll payments and liaising with the payroll provider
  • Process payments to HMRC
  • Keep abreast of changes in financial regulations and legislation

 

This is a key role in the organisation and one that offers opportunities for substantial progression as we continue to expand.

 

 

3)   What do you need? 

 

It is important that you are:

 

  • Qualified (CIMA or ACCA) with up to 2 years post qualification experience or qualified by experience
  • Excellent organisational skills and self-motivated
  • Flexible, analytical and have a methodical approach in problem solving
  • Be able to demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Have experience of using Xero would be advantageous but not essential.
  • Have advanced excel skills (V Look ups, Pivot Tables)
  • Strong analytical approach essential

 

Of course, it goes without saying that in this kind of role and environment, you will also need bags of energy, tenacity and flexibility and a great sense of humour. We are however a friendly bunch and very much try to foster a fun and supportive environment.

 

It is though, fast paced and we are constantly in a change cycle as we iterate and reiterate what we do to support new clients, new jurisdictions and to take account of the constantly changing and developing environment we are working in, so if change isn’t your thing, it’s probably not the place for you.

 

On a more practical front, this role while notionally based in our amazing offices in Sci-Tech Daresbury, Cheshire.
