2) The Role: Product Manager

ORCHA has a range of digital products that are designed to support our core mission, to help more people access and use great Digital Health solutions. Our platforms include:

  • Our revolutionary Review and Accreditation Engine, that allows us to rigorously assess Digital Health Solutions on behalf of our myriad array of clients;
  • Our innovative App Finders and API’s, that deliver tailored and targeted Digital Health search engines and libraries to organisations who wish to activate their target audience
    to use more great Digital Health products
  • Our powerful Pro-Suite solutions that empower thousands of health and care professionals to engage with and actively integrate Digital Health solutions into their day
    to day practice.

Alongside these platforms are a range of internal control systems, workflows and dashboards to ensure we can manage and deliver across multiple countries and with a disparate workforce in the UK and further afield.

Our clients include, health and care organisations in the UK and wider afield, charities, universities, colleges and schools and major employers.

The Product Managers role is all about supporting the technical development activities and overseeing the evolution of each of the Platforms or Products outlined above. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer (the Product Owner), you will have full responsibility for:

  • maintaining the Product Roadmap and supporting the evolution of the product strategy and vision
  • monitoring user feedback and evolving relevant user forums and groups to support the Product evolution
  • managing the development ‘sprint cycle’ (requirements, design, build/test, user test) and key interactions with Development partners
  • managing the Development Budget
  • refining functional requirements through liaison with all stakeholders across the business
  • managing and maintaining the User Interface and Experience
  • co-ordinating user testing
  • managing the resolution of Product bugs and issues
  • reporting on Development activities to support internal processes

3) What do you need?

It is important that you understand the Product Management environment and you have experience of delivering this role in other situations.

In addition, you need to be bright, enthusiastic, well organised, collaborative and have a can do and pragmatic approach to ensure the product responds to emerging and often changeable business needs.

Whilst it is important to understand the world of Agile, we are not dogmatic about specific development models and prefer to use whatever approach works best for the task in hand.

On top of all of this, you will need great energy and enthusiasm for healthcare in general and the world of Digital Health in particular. You don’t need to be an expert in Digital Health now. We will provide a lot of training and support to ensure you have all the knowledge and insights you will need, but a genuine interest in the area is essential.

We are a friendly bunch and very much try to foster a fun and supportive environment. It is however fast paced and we are constantly in a change cycle as we iterate and reiterate what we do to support new clients, new jurisdictions and to take account of the constantly changing and developing environment we are working in, so if this isn’t your thing, it’s probably not the place for you.

On a more practical front, this role is primarily based in our amazing offices in Daresbury, Cheshire but will occasionally require travel to engage with users across the UK and further afield.
